Business Support Officer

BBS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Business Support Officer in a temp position for our client. The successful candidate will be a proactive and hardworking individual with prior experience within a role.

Job Role:

To provide generic administrative support across the Social Inclusion team and to service several panels within Social Inclusion.

  • To provide high quality administrative support to Student Support Centres, the Inclusion Development Workers and appropriate local authority Social Inclusion panels.
  • To be responsible for the organisation, preparation, collation and circulation of agendas and supporting documents.
  • To provide administrative support to statutory processes and procedures within Social Inclusion.
  • To manage the exchange of sensitive or contentious information with Managers, maintaining confidentiality always.
  • To exercise independent judgement and initiative based on good practice and acquired knowledge in problematic situations
  • To co-ordinate the processing of orders and the issuing and payment of invoices for the Social Inclusion team using the LCC financial management system, including the tracking of credits and debits.
  • To contribute to the coaching and development of appropriate staff and participate in the induction of new staff.
  • To engage in and contribute to personal development activities and training.
  • To lead on co-ordination and management of archived and paperless files.
  • To undertake a support function on information sharing and data protection.
  • To assist in the planning of meetings, training events, conferences etc.
