BBS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager (It) (Information Technology) in a temporary to permanent position for our client in Bradford.  The successful candidate should be a proactive and hardworking individual with prior experience within a role.

Key Purpose and Project Manager (It) (Information Technology)

Working in IT Services in the Planning and Finance team to lead and work in the Project team to work with customers to provide programme management office support, develop business requirements, analyse business problems, develop collaborative solutions and manage the full project delivery lifecycle. Ensuring successful project implementation that enables the department to meet and exceed agreed service levels to its customers. 

Main Responsibilities and Project Manager (It) (Information Technology)

Manage and lead the Project Team and be part of the IT Services management team.

Work with customers and other IT teams to analyse business problems and identify appropriate solutions. Develop comprehensive and effective business requirement documentation and manage the full project lifecycle to ensure successful project implementation.

Provide PMO services to IT Services, including programme resource planning,

programme budget management, programme reporting activities; preparation and production of weekly programme status report for both ICT Management and client representatives. Provide PMO support and direction to the project analyst team

Assist in the development, maintenance and communication of the IT Services programme and project management methodology and standards.

Follow IT Services programme and project management methodology and standards.

Support the continuous development and enhancement of the service, and ensure that customer care and service excellence are established as core values.

Follow service management processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the service and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Use agreed IT service management tools to accurately capture data relating to ITIL processes. Ensure service related documentation is accurate and relevant.

Collaborate with colleagues to identify and investigate problems in systems and services throughout the organisation. Assist with the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.

Maintain an understanding of advances in the relevant technology environment and be able to deliver expert advice while looking at ways that new technology can be implemented to deliver service improvements.

Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all colleagues and with end users. Provide specialist guidance and advice to less experienced colleagues to ensure best use is made of available assets, and to maintain or improve service delivery.

Manage the access to highly confidential, personal, financial, political and commercially sensitive information; to ensure compliance with appropriate legislation e.g., DPA, FOI, Child Protection Act, etc., the unauthorised disclosure of which would prejudice the interests of the Council.

Responsible for assets, equipment and materials within the ICT service undertaking.

To carry out any other duties as required, which are reasonable in terms of nature and level of the post.

Deputise for the Planning and Finance Service Manager as require.
